L is for LOOK

There are so many things that take our attention-- that sometimes we forget to REALLY look. I'm so busy that I almost forgot that we have beautiful mountain views--I don't always see them.

Today we spent the day with our kids looking... at the Zoo. We watched animals and how they behaved-- noticing details because that's what we were there to do.

It was today I noticed that my oldest son's hands are bigger than mine. When did that happen?

The sun makes my middle son's eyes shine the exact color of the sky.

My youngest loves elephants and his smile reminds me of my husband.

What did you look at today?

While you're at it--look at my last post (below) to learn about an exciting film project and the Iron Man mask giveaway!

Okay I blogged about your husband's kickstarter project and included links to both your blog and the kickstarter page. :) Please make sure my name is in the entry for the contest.

Oh, great observations! My daughter has a birthday this month, and even though she is turning 16, has asked to go to the zoo to celebrate... I will remember to look, too. Thanks for the reminder!

Ooooh, I love the zoo! I'm dying to go soon. And I can bet as a mother, watching a child grow bigger than you... I would be a little disconcerted too!

Beautiful, thoughtful post about motherhood (and looking!). Thank you Jo.

How cool that you notice the size of your son's hands.

Great reminder to notice the little things in life. Today, I'm on a road trip and saw FLOWERS, which haven't been blooming in Pittsburgh since fall. Also, went to see Lincoln Lawyer - liked it much!
