C is for Chocolate

CHOCOLATE.

Chocolate's bittersweet, smooth, dark, sensual dance on the tongue makes it the ultimate comfort food.

It stimulates endorphin production, which gives a feeling of pleasure.

It contains serotonin, which acts as an anti-depressant

Also it is full of flavanoids that act as antioxidants.

Dark chocolate lowers your blood pressure and your cholesterol.

The cacoa bean from which chocolate is derived was anciently used as currency. And made into a drink for kings. The world's long and torrid love affair with chocolate changed societies and shaped trading routes. Quite an impressive hill of beans. Enjoy...

Also, an awesome movie... (=

One of many favorite chocolate memories ... traveling through Switzerland and finding the ultimate, delicious hot chocolate. It was a sensational part of my trip! (=

Do you have a favorite chocolate memory?

Yes, I do. I remember as a child eating Whoppers from my favorite candy store.

I must confess that I had chocolate for breakfast.

Favourite chocolate memory:

At a girl guide camp, I had brought an enormous chocolate bar, and decided to bring it to bed to eat. Great plan, except I fell asleep. The next morning I was wearing said chocolate bar all over my pajama bottoms.

Yeah. Carried that stigma around for a looong time at school.

Um, just yes. My favorite this time of year are cadbury cream eggs. Delish chocolate eggs filled with cream filling. YUM.

You know, I have met a few people who don't like chocolate. Amazing! All my memories that involve chocolate are happy ones, I especially love when Mark thinks of me and randomly comes home with a chocolate treat, so thoughtful. I also love that you make me your 'to die for cake' when I drive out to see you, good memories.
