My Life in books!

Books have been a huge part of my whole life. Maybe that's why I love to write. I was raised by a mother who got her Masters in English Lit, so I had early exposure to books most kids would never read. Some of them are still faves. But I like many books other than the classics too. I believe the books we read, especially early on, shape how we percieve the world and who we become. Even now, I will find a book that will profoundly influence me and open my mind to new possibilities and thoughts.
Margie over at Spin Me Write Round is doing a blog hop. Share some of your favorite books throughout your life. The ones that you enjoyed and that had an impact on you. Join this cool blog hop at Margie's blog!

I've been compiling my list and frankly, it's terrible. I swear I either have a horrible memory, or I didn't start reading until college. Pathetic. But I'll post it tomorrow night.

Wow, what a great list of reads and such a cool idea for a blog hop.

I'll have to think back to see if I can remember so many influential books. Thanks for sharing Jojoma!

I can barely remember what I read last year let alone when in grade school. Good reads! My favorite as a child was the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew series.

That's a great list of books! We share many favorites, at least from childhood. As I got older I got more into sci-fi and fantasy books. I majored in English Literature, though, and I love the classics!

I am loving. LOVING you lists. I've read most of the books you have listed except for the ones on your "as an adult list". I'll have to get my hands on them since I LOVED every book you have listed that I've read. It's almost freaky. :)

I remember hating the fact that I was forced to read those books in school, but now as an adult I realize the value that they really did add to my life...

Congratulations on your 100 followers and for being such an avid reader. I've read many of the books you've listed and I must say, one of my favorites was Island of the Blue Dolphins. My teacher read it aloud to our class and it was the most memorable hour of the day for weeks!

I left you something over on my blog.

Enjoyed many of the same books. Wonder why??? Just beginning to indulge in good reads for the summer. Usually deny myself for the sake of the family. :)
