Yes, I've been doing a lot of chopping lately with this revision, but I also keep a folder where I put the chopped text just in case it makes me sense elsewhere or I come to truly regret removing it. It makes me feel better and I think I've only borrowed from it once.Shannon Lawrencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934641808195675935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056617300824158534.post-73669881001025696182011-05-04T12:12:08.836-07:002011-05-04T12:12:08.836-07:00great post jo and once again, off to bookmark....t...great post jo and once again, off to bookmark....thank youWendy@FabNouveauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03279778187031288695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056617300824158534.post-26235196203815444982011-05-04T12:07:34.391-07:002011-05-04T12:07:34.391-07:00Amen to this. Most of the time my favorite line or scene is not one that propells the story forward. I hate chopping something I love though, so that is why a writers group is awesome. SOMEONE gets to see it, thought maybe not everyone. :-)Margiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02484428020785825368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056617300824158534.post-87755843338103355872011-05-03T22:29:20.783-07:002011-05-03T22:29:20.783-07:00I end up adding. Whatever novel or story I'm working on, I create a document by the same name and add bin. Then anything I cut from it as I edit, I keep it safe in there. You'd be surprised how many times those little passages/excerpts make a reappearance!

How great to meet you. Thanks for finding my blog. And I look forward to following your posts and writing.

warm wishes
Debbie
xBluestocking Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01502764742097142372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056617300824158534.post-7599474773344733062011-05-03T15:35:52.555-07:002011-05-03T15:35:52.555-07:00Ugh, I am so awful at this.
